What is Macramé?

Macramé is the process of tying various knots to achieve intricate designs. The materials vary depending on what end product you want to create.

Cotton cord can be used to create larger designs such as wall hangings, plant pot hangers and decorations. At Woodland Workbench you may see some cotton designs on my craft stalls throughout the year.

Polyester Waxed cord is used to create much smaller and more intricate designs. At Woodland Workbench I use high quality polyester cord to create gemstone cabochon jewellery as well as some other designs such as earrings without the gemstone.
